Hey Reddit. Yesterday was my first B&M session, at Casino Del Sol in Tucson,AZ if anyone is interested. I played 1-2 NL for about 11 hours. I started out rough and dropped my max buyin of 200 after about 3 hours. The combination of a couple loose cannons who seemed to always hit when I was in the hand with them and some bad plays by me is what did me in. I thought about just packing it up right there, but I figured another 200 wouldn't be too bad. I floated around 230 after a small win and then managed to lose quit a bit in a hand with my QQ against KK, which left me floating around 70 for a good hour or two. A fairly loose player showed up around 8 PM and proceeded to quadruple his starting stack after rebuying once. There was a notable hand where I picked up 23 in late position against this loose player who was BB. I called, because I wasn't hitting anything with decent cards, and he raised it to $8 which I called as well. Flop came 232 with two diamonds and I was almost in shock. He bets out about $15 figuring that it didn't hit me at all and his cbet should take it down, I just call at this point. Turn comes a 7, he continues to bet $35, which I elect to just call again. River comes a 9, and he shoves all-in, which I obviously snap call and take about 150 off him. That put me back up to $300 and I spend the rest of the night grinding another $80 bucks and cash out about 12:30 in the morning with $380. As the night went on, decisions seemed to be getting easier. I made sure my starting hands were premium or ones that were easy to get away from if the flop didn't hit hard. All in all, I had 2 quads (7s and Js) and saw 4 quads total (3 of which where 7s). Anyway, I just wanted to share. Any recommendations for how to deal with a loose cannon in a cash game?
